Message of the Day:- 1 Timothy 6:6-10 - "6But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. 8But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. 9People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. 10For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. Link - Cult Watch.
Sorry everybody, I am very disgusted with Christians.
I tell you why.
The so called Christians that I know of are back stabbing @x%666, they say one thing and do dirty tricks or things behind the backs of innocent people.
The so called Christians that I know are so miserly with money and not generous with charity. They usually contribute less than others for an chipping in of funeral expenses. What a bunch of losers.
The so called Christians that I know are also very selfish. They care for themselves and do the easiest assignments leaving others to do more difficult work. That is crap !
The so called Christians that I know also tell lies to get away and get others blamed as a result. Working with them is a pain in the @#$X666.
I have yet to meet good Christians. Or may be most Christians are like that.......
As a Christian myself, I do feel upset over your bad encounters. The world is made up with many different types of people regardless of colours, race and religions. I don't know how to play the role of a peacemaker over here however I do sincerely hope that going forward you will not be hurt by these group of "black sheeps".
Keeping you in prayer. May our Lord Jesus Christ fill you with His peace & joy.
Firstly, just want to say that like what Jesus illustrated in the parable of the sower, not all so call Christians are borned again.
Secondly, Christians are not sinless or faultless all the time - they have many challenges (character wise and spirituatual) to overcome - it's a journey of transformation and , not an overnight operation of perfection.
Personally as i became more mature in the faith, i felt that the journey seems to get tougher and not easier; that's because God wants to purify and sanctify us more each day, and expose the sinfulness of our flesh, and it takes more enegy, will and most of all His grace to overcome. Through this we might fail time and again, but ultimately we should move forward in terms of becoming more like His Son, Jesus - the perfect Man.
Thirdly, don't confuse between GOD and the believers. Just because some Christians doesn't live up to the expectation doesn't mean that GOD is like that. You have to find out for ourself and have a relationship with HIM in order for you to come to that conclusion whether GOD is real or not, not because someone said so, or fail to do so. If all Christian are perfect, there is no need for them to seek GOD anymore. Jesus came for the very reason that we need His salvation.
When i see someone doesn't live up to that standard of GOD, i should remind myself how i am also one of them at times - all the more i need to seek GOD's grace and humble ourself, and only through His mercy and grace that HE wrought salvation for us through Jesus, that whoesoever believe in Him shall be saved from eternal damnation; and that we have also His help through the Holy Spirit that by His grace we will work out our salvation, ever towards more holiness and sanctification, God help us all.
Im very glad a lot of Christ like people sorrounding you.Actually it's very a true description of our characters. We are sinful in nature. A Christian who genuinely received Jesus Christ as He's Lord and Personal Savior undergo Spiritual transformation from inside out.The old ways has passed and the Christ like behavior exist.Eventhough He still made undesirable acts/thoughts he is able to realized it latter and try to give up this unwanted things under Gods care and i believed as He grow mature towards faith and is desiring perfection and holiness sooner or latter the real "Christian word" will be clearly seen in HIM. It's a matter of maturity, desires, and commitment to the LORD that make a CHRISTIAN real. Thanks to your comment.GOD BLESS!
I understand how non believers feel as I too have come across crappy Christians.
They say one thing and do evil things behind peoples back and thought they can get away or by grace of God that God will forgive them each time they do wrong.
And that is one thing that is stopping me from becoming Christians as I will become so fake like Christians !
jason and howda a have certainly got nothing better to do. They probably not only find fault with christians, but every other religion too, so it is a waste of time talking to them.
Now let the christian in me come out. We christians are forgiving, we will turn the other cheek.
Agree... it's time to start some real topics here. I am here for only less than two weeks, and getting really tired of the threads that talk about the same issue (just in different words!). Can we start some other topics please?
